Q: Why is inöuqa eco-designed?

First, inöuqa is made in France. This was our starting point in terms of eco-design. Why did we do this? To limit our carbon footprint first, and then to promote our territories and know-how. Our materials are not 100% green, it's true, but recyclable (EPP units, PP plugs) or already partially recycled (EPP ocean modules). This is an added value in our opinion when you look at the current composition of toys children's shelving. A concept of construction game and materials thought to last... It is always better than single-use or ephemeral plastic coming from the other side of the planet, no? The lean production system is also a strong point for us: the right quantities, the right prices, little stock, optimized production and logistics, a committed and conscious purchase... so many concrete arguments with a positive impact. In our eyes, this is already good, it is already beneficial. But we want to do better: at each stage of our adventure, of our development, we will try to move the eco-design cursor a little further in the right direction when possible and relevant. Q: What is our eco-responsible and societal approach?

It's strange to say, but in fact we create a toy to consume less toys... A more durable toy in fact, which will perhaps replace several small purchases, too gadget and less qualitative no doubt. A toy that limits weariness and multiplies the possibilities of amusement. A toy that will be passed on among siblings, in the family, and that can be offered as a second hand. A useful toy, to answer the current problems of lack of imagination, autonomy, isolation, inactivity, and overexposure to screens. An inclusive toy, adapted to all children's profiles, even with attention or psychomotor disorders. A toy that also thinks about the preservation of our planet, produced in France with materials that are globally less bad than what is currently done. Q: Can I find inöuqa in stores?

No. For the moment we are only available online, via inouqa.com . "Step by step" as Whitney Houston sang. But one day, hopefully, we'll be able to offer you the opportunity to touch our products directly in-store, which is clearly in the back of our minds. When that happens, you'll be the first to know. That's a promise, a real one!

Q: Why the name "inöuqa"?

If we want to stimulate the imagination of the youngest, we might as well be the first to set an example, right? The starting point is the desire to personalize our magic playhouse, to give it a little name, so that the children can appropriate it and consider it as a real playmate. "Can I play with inöuqa?"; "Can we take inöuqa to grandma and grandpa's?"; "So inöuqa, what are we building today?"... So many sentences that we hope to hear. Our initial idea was also not to materialize borders with the name. Our toy is transposable to all the children of our planet, it was necessary that the name be also. A combination of vowels, consonants and syllables orchestrated and organized to create this beautiful sound: the "i" of "imagination", the "ino" of "innovation", the "in" of "inside" and "to be trendy", the "ou" of "who we'll be playing with today? " The "qa" of "cabin" In short, it's a pretty crazy and funny mishmash, with a touch of exoticism thanks to the letters brought back from our travels, like the "ö" from Scandinavian and Germanic countries. Take a good look at this one, you'll see a surprised smiley face staring you in the eyes. Now you know all the secrets of our name. We hope you like it.

Q: How are the prices set?

Quite simply really. Our goal is to have as many children as possible play with our idea, and to do that, we have to offer it at the right price. At every stage of design and production, we try to make the right choices with this ambition in mind. Precisely, the principle of pre-orders , helps us in this sense. However, also and above all, we want to offer you beautiful ideas, innovative products, quality materials, an appreciable level of service while respecting certain values which are dear to us and which seem essential today (French production for example). Of course, we are aware that this has an impact on the final prices and that they can sometimes be perceived as high. But trust us, in relation to the work, the expenses and the quality of your toy, the price is reasonable and coherent. The price is fixed with the whole of the inherent costs of the production as a starting point and by integrating a margin (necessary for the survival of the company) in the average of the toy market. The yacht and the villa with feet in the water, it is not for tomorrow... And it is not what we aim at, that's good!

Q: Why did you create inöuqa?

Have you noticed the lack of imagination of children? The time spent on screens? The overconsumption of toys? The inactivity of motor skills? That's what we thought... We too, around us, at home, with our children. These observations are the starting point of our idea: to create an innovative toy to bring a piece of the answer to these societal problems. A solution to stimulate the imagination, the motor skills, and the autonomy of children. An activity to have fun as we used to do it before, with resourcefulness, ingenuity and sharing.
